Atari ST (16-Bit) - Installing & Configuring Applications on Your GEM Desktop

On an Atari ST or other 16-bit GEM system, many people just navigate to the application directory, run the app and then load up a document. But there are several different ways to configure your Atari 16-bit system to associate file types with a particular app. That way you can just click on a file and it will automatically launch the correct app and then load the file you just clicked on. There are several aspects to configuring it and a couple of methods you can use depending how you want to manage your apps and files. In this video, I explain them giving you the option on how you want to configure your system.
