The Altirra emulator for the Atari 8 bit systems has a nice shortcut to setup the disk drives needed for the particular software you want to run. Instead of having to use Altirra's drop down menu, you can bypass it. Just open File Explorer to the directory where you have the disk image stored. Then it's just a matter of click-hold and drag the file to the emulator. A full screen menu will appear and you can drop the disk image to whichever drive you want it at.
